The 'matings' is about the wild kangaroos that I have followed for many years. I am privileged to witness matings and to see the offspring grow into adults and have offspring of their own. It is harder to keep tabs on the boys as they eventually move away to find a harem of females for themselves. With every joy I experience watching this process there is also some sorrow. It is well known that kangaroos do mourn there losses, and I have witnessed this first hand.
Eventually, I will list all the family trees of some of the females that I have kept notes on. Sadly, some have already passed away, and so have their offspring. It is a perilous world for them as the contend with road, shooters and the ever increasing population of humans.
PRISSY & ROMEO | Prissy Prissy and Romeo mated on/about 17th February, 2012. The picture below is of the after affects of mating. A 'cork' in left in so as to stop another male from mating the same female successfully.
